There is no right or wrong age to make a planned gift. In fact, donor ages at the time they decide to make a planned gift are fairly evenly distributed across age groups at 45 and up.

There are two ways to label your gift: restricted and unrestricted.

• A restricted gift comes with conditions attached and generally is designated to fund a specific program or initiative, such as a scholarship fund.
• An unrestricted gift allows St. Dominic to determine how to use the funds based on the school's most pressing needs. Unrestricted gifts are extremely valuable because SDHS can use them to flexibly meet its future needs.

Making a named gift is a wonderful way to create your legacy or to memorialize a loved one.

To establish a named endowed fund, a gift must meet the funding minimum set by the school's advisory board. The current named endowed fund minimum is $50,000. Additional requirements exist to make a named gift.
