Planning Your Gift

Answering the Call to Lead

Called to Lead: The Campaign for St. Dominic offers a wide range of opportunities for donors at all levels to make a lasting impact on the future of St. Dominic High School. Commitments to the campaign can be made through a variety of means and over a period of up to three years. Please consult your tax advisor or financial planner for personal guidance.

To make a gift, please contact Sarah Wehde at swehde@stdominichs.org or (636) 240-8303 ext. 109.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities/Stock

Gifts of appreciated securities/stock held for more than one year permit a donor to use the full value of the security at the time of donation as a tax deduction, while avoiding the capital gains tax.

Gifts via a Donor-Advised Fund

You direct how much and how often money is granted to the capital campaign through your donor-advised fund.

Gifts of Traditional IRAs

You can give up to $100,000 annually from your IRA directly to a qualified charity without paying income taxes on the distribution. Must be 70 1/2 years of age to qualify.

Gifts of Property

Under the guidance of appraisers and tax advisors, gifts of marketable property - including residence, farm, vacation home, jewelry, art, etc. - can provide significant benefits to the school and to the donor.

Gifts of Cash

Cash, check or credit gifts qualify for a charitable deduction. These gifts are limited to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income annually, and any amount given over this limit is eligible for a five-year carryover.

Bequests and Life Payment Plans

Bequests and life payment plans are excellent ways to participate in the campaign at levels you might not ordinarily consider. These include a bequest in one's will as well as various trust instruments.

Gifts of Life Insurance

Gifts of life insurance can provide a way to make a sizable gift to our endowment at a relatively low cost.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Check with your employer regarding opportunities to extend the impact of your gift.
