The centerpiece of the Called to Lead campaign is a $4.5 million expansion that includes a new Center for the Sciences and main school entrance.
Extending from our current main entrance, the Center for the Sciences will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment and accommodate projected student enrollment growth.
Expanded entrance and commons
1 broadcast journalism studio
6 Science and engineering laboratories
Opportunity for 225 additional students
The Center for the Sciences will benefit St. Dominic students in ways extending beyond science, technology, engineering and math:
With the addition of the Center for the Sciences, St. Dominic's facilities will grow to 175,000 square feet, increasing our educational square footage by 17%
With our facilities currently at capacity, the physical growth of our school will enable St. Dominic to welcome up to 225 additional students
This expansion will enhance our broadcast journalism program and enable us to pursue Project Lead the Way's biomedical sciences curriculum and other STEM opportunities
The expanded commons area will provide the St. Dominic student community with opportunities to come together and enhance collaborative learning
Ultimately, this effort is designed to foster our students' future successes, preparing them for the career demands of an ever-changing world
