I: Elevated

Situation

Case(s) is/are confirmed outside Missouri by the Centers for Disease Control, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services or St. Charles County Health Department

Actions

Situation

Actions

Inform administration and all employees
Hang posters in buildings
Review proper cleaning and disinfecting practices
Emphasize hand-washing and use of hand sanitizer
Monitor student and staff attendance
Send home students and staff presenting symptoms

Communications

Send informational correspondence to parents with precautionary practices and symptom identification
Update resources and information on website

III: High

Situation

Case(s) is/are confirmed in St. Charles County or contiguous counties by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services or St. Charles County Public Health Department

Actions

Educate staff
Inform and educate students via classroom clinics
Cleaning and disinfecting of buildings
Re-emphasize hand-washing and use of hand sanitizer
Monitor student and staff attendance
Send home students and staff presenting symptoms
Limit public gatherings
Report incidents to St. Charles County Health Department
Possible closure of school for containment due to severity and attendance reports; if closed, distance (electronic) earning begins immediately (decision made by President and Archdiocesan Superintendent and shared with St. Charles County Health Department)

Communicate with media (request assistance from St. Charles County Health Department's public information office)

Confirmed diagnosis within school community and/or a state of emergency regarding school attendance is called by the St. Charles County Public Health Department

Actions

Close school until further notice (administrative, advancement and financial services continue, if possible)
Begin distance (electronic) learning immediately
Cancel public gatherings
Review academic calendar and schedule
