St. Dominic High School senior Ryan Monahan ’20 received Honorable Mention for the Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors Missouri’s top academic students in the graduating class of 2020.
“We are proud of Ryan's dedication to his studies and the citizenship he brings to the St. Dominic community,” said St. Dominic principal Stacy Stewart ’89. “Ryan is leaving his mark on St. Dominic and we can't wait to see where his future takes him.”
Monahan, a graduate of Immaculate Conception of Dardenne, is a member of National Honor Society, Coding Club and the tennis team. He serves as Virtus Head of House in St. Dominic’s newly launched house system. Monahan plans to study computer science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Missouri Scholars 100 is a program sponsored by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. Schools across Missouri were invited to nominate candidates for this statewide recognition. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.750, a minimum ACT score of 29 or minimum SAT score of 1600, be ranked in the top 10 percent of their class and have taken high-level courses in mathematics, science, English and a foreign language. Students must also have excellent attendance, be an exemplary school citizen and be involved in school activities.
