Federal tax laws are designed to encourage support of charitable institutions. While your commitment to St. Dominic High School is a personal matter, this section may help you consider the ways of giving that are most appropriate for your financial circumstances, prior commitments, and other responsibilities.

Gifts of cash are most common and allow St. Dominic High School to have access to available funds.
St. Dominic High School encourages pledges as a way of giving to the school. Pledge payments can be scheduled to accommodate the individual donor's needs.
Securities can also be donated to st. Dominic High School. To donate stock, please notify St. Dominic High School of your gift by calling the Advancement Office at 636-240-8303, advising of the name of the stock, the number of shares, and any and all restrictions that apply to the use of the proceeds. If you have the stock certificate, it can be delivered to the Advancement Office by mail or in person. If your stock is in a brokerage account, please contact the Advancement Office for instructions on transferring the stock directly into the school's account.

Life insurance policies can be used for gift giving by making St. Dominic High School the owner of the policy or the beneficiary.
REAL ESTATE AND OTHER PERSONAL PROPERTY
Gifts of real estate or tangible personal property offer a variety of options, each with its own tax advantage to the donor. Some options provide for lifetime occupancy rights or income for life.
Donors who work for matching gift companies can double the value of their gifts to St. Dominic High School. Please check your company's policy on matching gifts. Retirees often qualify.
