As St. Dominic High School enters the 50th year of providing quality, Catholic, secondary education to the young people of the St. Charles Deanery, we pause to give thanks for the many blessings that God has bestowed on our school. Over 7,000 students have received a rigorous education that is based in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community and service, the graduates of St. Dominic High School serve our Church, work in the local and global communities and make a difference in the world.

While we are grateful for our past 50 years, it is through thoughtful and thorough planning that a strong and vital future will become a reality for St. Dominic High School. A strategic planning steering committee was created and given the task to evaluate our internal and external environment, identify opportunities and challenges, and establish the school’s most important priorities. Members of the school community were invited to join the process. Eight committees focused on core strategic areas. Through this effort, a formal strategic plan that is mission based will guide the efforts of this school for the next three to five years.

The strategic plan represents the collaboration of many individuals including school administrators, the St. Dominic High School Advisory Committee, pastors and clergy, faculty, staff, students, parents, area elementary school principals and leaders in academia and business. The thoroughness and innovative ideas of the plan are a direct result of the passion and commitment of many from the school community and could not have come to fruition without their dedication, insight and contribution. Please take time to review the process and methodology used to develop this plan and become familiar with the strategies being designed to improve the school for current and future students. The support and contributions of the broader community will be needed for this plan to be implemented. Thank you for your love and support for this wonderful school. It is humbling and an honor to be current leaders and stewards of St. Dominic High School.

Bravely in Faith,
