Today is Monday, February 8, 2010.  Due to inclement weather, St. Dominic High School will not be holding classes today.  All athletic contests, practices and other activities are cancelled also.

St. Dominic Annual Crusade
We are excited to announce that the SDHS Annual Giving program, “The Annual Crusade”, will begin in February. The Annual Crusade is a fundraising campaign that will occur each year to support the school’s operating budget. The money raised is most commonly used to offset an operational deficit, but it can be applied to any purpose. This year, the funds donated will benefit current families who are in need of tuition assistance. Sister Jeanne Margaret is this year’s honorary chairperson; Kevin & Beth Runge are the co-chairs. Our goal is to raise $50,000. We hope you are able and willing to join alumni and other members of the St. Dominic community in supporting families in their desire to continue a Catholic secondary education for their children at SDHS. Inclement Weather Policy Reminder
Our primary concern is always for the safety and well-being of students and staff. Parents have similar concerns and may keep a student home when they deem the conditions warrant such action. Because our students come from many areas, conditions in one area are not always the same as conditions in the others. In case of overnight bad weather, we will be using Alert Now, a phone and email communication system, to notify faculty, staff and students when school is called off or there is a late start. We will continue to post school closings on: KMOX (AM 1120) at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 a.m. (6:00 and 9:00 p.m. the previous evening) TV Channels 2, 4 and 5
