Girls Basketball Going to State
Congratulations Girls Basketball!
The girls basketball team won their 23rd game in a row and advanced to the State Final Four in Columbia on March 12th. The girls beat Miller Career Academy on Saturday 52-41 and will play Cape Notre Dame at 3:20 p.m. at Mizzou Arena on Friday. See the stltoday.com story here.
Penny Wars - March 10 - 19
The St. Dominic students and staff begin our second Pennies for Peace activities on Wednesday, March 10. Our Shalom Club will present a prayer service recognizing Women's Rights. This will lead us into Pennies for Peace, an international organization which funds schools for girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
From March 10 - March 19, money will be collected as the students and staff enjoy class competitions and games -- Penny Wars. The games include tournaments of dodge ball, volleyball and ultimate frisbee. The events are culminated during our annual Spring Pep Assembly when the student winners take on the staff in a dodge ball match. Last year, the events raised almost $4,500 with the proceeds donated to Pennies for Peace and for financial assistance for our own students in need.

Our First Middle School Trivia Night
On Friday, March 12th, from 7:00 - 10:00 pm, we will be hosting our first Middle School Trivia Night. This is a "lock-in" event for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. For $10 per person, and up to 8 students per table, there will be Pizza, Soda, Water and lots of brain teasing fun. Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams.
