Peer Tutoring Program

St. Dominic High School offers a Peer Tutoring Program for interested students during their scheduled study hall period.  Please note the following guidelines regarding this program:

  • Tutoring is offered to those students earning grades below "B"
  • Your request may take up to one week for response time
  • Tutoring may not be requested during the last 2 weeks of any quarter
  • You may be tutored in no more than 2 subjects
  • Students must reapply each semester if they wish to continue tutoring
  • As a part of the tutoring program, you must agree to meet at least once a week for at least 20 minutes during your study hall
  • Tutoring may not exceed 60 minutes each week
  • As part of the tutoring program, you must agree to meet for the entire quarter and/or semester
  • Students who are tutored must consult with their teacher, counselor or learning consultant before a decision to stop tutoring is made.  Students may not decide on their own to discontinue their tutoring.

*St. Dominic High School cannot guarantee all students applying for a tutor will receive a tutor.  We will do our very best to accommodate all requests, however, there may be a lack of student tutors due to a study hall conflict or the subject matter.
