IMPACT Testing

IMPACT Testing Dates for 2017 Fall Athletes

For the safety of our students, St. Dominic High School has implemented mandatory IMPACT testing for every athlete. An IMPACT test is a computer-based assessment that establishes a cognitive baseline. This test is used to help assess the healing process for a person who has sustained a concussion or a suspected concussion.

All athletes are required to take their IMPACT test prior to participating in any tryouts or practices. The assessment should take approximately 30-45 minutes, and must be completed at school under the athletic trainer's supervision. The following are times that students can complete their IMPACT test at school. The test will be taken in the computer lab, room 429.  It is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please plan to spend 30-45 minutes on the assessment.

Freshmen (class of 2021) and Junior (class of 2019) athletes need to take the test this year. Sophomore and Senior athletes who did not take the test last year must also come in to be tested before they may participate.

Date: Oct. 11th and Oct. 18th
Time: 3:00-4:30pm
Location: Computer Lab (Room 429)

Please remember you must have a current IMPACT test on file, along with a physical form dated after February 1, 2017, in order to try out or participate in a sport at St. Dominic High School for the school year 2017-2018.
