IMPACT Testing

IMPACT Testing Dates for 2017 Fall Athletes

For the safety of our students, St. Dominic High School has implemented mandatory IMPACT testing for every athlete. An IMPACT test is a computer-based assessment that establishes a cognitive baseline. This test is used to help assess the healing process for a person who has sustained a concussion or a suspected concussion.

All athletes are required to take their IMPACT test prior to participating in any tryouts or practices. This year, we will test Class of 2019 and Class of 2021, as well as transfer students and any sophomores or seniors who did not take an IMPACT test last year.

Date: May 16
Time: 3:00 to 5:00pm
Location: Computer Lab (Room 429)

Date: May 22
Time: 1:00 to 4:00pm
Location: Computer Lab (Room 429)

Date: June 1
Time: 1:00 to 4:00pm
Location: Computer Lab (Room 429)

There will be one more chance to take the impact test during the summer but that date has not been determined yet.

Please remember you must have a current IMPACT test on file, along with a physical form dated after February 1, 2017, in order to try out or participate in a sport at St. Dominic High School for the school year 2017-2018.

If you are unsure if you have an IMPACT test and physical on file, email Ann Meuth at ameuth@stdominichs.org.
