MISSION COLLECTION: November 25 – SDHS Appalachia Christmas Trip Every year, Dr. Eck, Mr. Haug, and their merry band of elves from St. Dominic deliver Christmas to Drift, Kentucky, a struggling town in the Appalachian Mountains. The gifts, food, and other donated items are delivered in December. The families have been adopted by caring members of our community, but the money you donate will buy food and other items we take for granted (toiletries, i.e.) for these families to have when Christmas is over. Please be generous. UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI, ST. LOUIS is collecting food, clothing and school supplies for a program at UMSL for homeless/desperate needs students throughout the St. Louis/St. Charles counties. We're collecting food, clothing, school supplies, etc. for these students and plan to pack backpacks for distribution to individual students. These students include the currently homeless, as well as the rising numbers that have been affected by the current economic climate. These students range from ages 6-17. There will be a couple of gray bins in the lobby where donations can be placed. We are not requesting money, but food, school supplies, and/or clothing. The collection will end at the end of Mission Week.
